You need to have the program to use this book, so try the creative cloud. I bought this book based on the great reviews from others. But this book is not good for a beginner who wants a step-by-step guide.

The book organized not by steps of how to do something. Instead it just post a finished page with pictures and many texts, and what you do cannot match the pictures. The book is also not a good reference because it did not teach you advanced topics. So what does this book teach? This is not helpful. This book fails to deliver on its promises. It clearly states in the introductory blurb at time of purchase that it Since my interest is database-driven websites I purchased the book on the strength of this statement.

In my country this would have been pursued through legal channels but an online purchase on the other side of the world, I don't hold out much hope Buyer Beware! One person found this helpful. I was a BFA Graphic Design student, and took classes in Dreamweaver, i got this book for a work project to give myself a refresher as its been a few years and CS's ago that i used it, and its good, but not if you need a more in depth understanding, its good at what it does, and that's basic Dreamweaver.

I have to agree with another reviewer. This book is nothing that I was hoping for. What it does is give information about features within Dreamerweaver by using existing websites. There is nothing that teaches one to actually build a site step by step.

Very simple text, giving explicit instructions to complete simple web design, practically no coding examples or information. Good introduction to website design with Adobe Dreamweaver. My favorite thing about the book is the visual connection between steps. If you're at all advanced, it will be too simple for you though, and just an occasional resource.

For people who prefer picture to the thousand of words in most instruction manuals this is a good choice. The images were clear and easily understood. See all reviews. I've come on leaps and bounds by following the step by step examples within the book, which are compiled with clear screen shots and clear steps for you to follow, as well as loads of great tips.

This simply has to be the best book out there for a beginner to DW CS6. I really loved it, since many different sort of stuff have been described using screenshots and short texts.
